Interstate Shield with State Name Signs In Utah

UT-13 North at I-15 North/I-84 West (Exit 376) onramp. Interstate shields with the UTAH text are becoming more common in Utah. It appears that all new interstate shields contain the UTAH text - at least in the Salt Lake area.

I-80 east at Exit 115 A-C - Bangerter Highway/SLC International Airport/North Temple. Approaching Exit 117 - I-215/Ogden/Provo. In the I-215 shield is the text UTAH. More and more of these types of shields with the state names are appearing around Utah.

First shield on I-84 west. The picture is fuzzy, but the shield contains the word UTAH.

I-215 north approaching Exit 26 - UT-67/Legacy Parkway. Continue north on I-215 for I-15 and Ogden.

US-6 west approaching I-15 onramps. Notice the the I-15 shield inside the I-15 Jct. big green sign has the word Utah in it. There are a few of these shields around the Provo area that appear to be newly posted.

US-6 West/US-89 North approaching US-89/US-6 split. Continue west on US-6 for I-15 junction. The I-15 shield contains the word Utah. This is one of the many I-15 shields in the Provo area that have the word Utah in it.

US-50 east at I-15 north. Notice the word UTAH in the I-15 shield. On this trip I noticed the word UTAH in signs in the Provo area, in addition to this shield. Before this I have never seen a Utah interstate shield containing the state name.
